Bharat Mera Ghar

Bharat Mera Ghar , a tour programme for teachers from Arunachal Pradesh was successfully concluded at Guwahati  on 8^th November, 2013. As a part of National Integration, some of our Arunachalee brothers and sisters used to go to other states and experience all-round development of the states every year through a tour programme named Bharat Mera Ghar (B.M.G.).

This year B.M.G. was organized for teachers specially to study various educational experiments done in Maharashtra. A group of 23 teachers from 9 districts of Arunachal Pradesh visited Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur from 28^th October to 8^th November, 2013.

The group first reached to Mumbai where they get a warm welcome from Mumbaikars. The group visited Elephanta caves, Pagoda, Gateway of India and Juhu beach. The teachers visited Keshav Srushti where they learnt about medicinal plants, what type of project s the students used to work on.

 At Pune, a training programme was organized at Jnana Prabodhini, a reknown Institute working on gifted children. Sessions on Geography and History by Dr.Manoj Devane helped the group to clear the basic concepts as well as various tools and methodologies which should be used by taking benefits of local surroundings.     Heritage walk,  a morning walk in Central Pune conducted by Shri. Mohan Shete brought back the live memories of freedom fighters like Veer Savarkar, Lokmanya Tilak, Chaphekar Bandhu, Hutatma Rajguru, M.N. Roy by visiting their residences. At ‘Bharat  Itihas Samshodhan Mandal’, the teachers recognized the importance of keeping History in written form.

The group was also trained in Play-way methods, Child psychology, enhancing intelligence through games and communication skills for teachers by Dr.Sujala Watve , Dr.Vanita Patwardhan and faculty members of Jnana Prabodhinin’s Institute of Psychology .

The group gained an advantage of sharing and discussing ‘Educational Scenario’ in Arunachal Pradesh for 3 days with Shri.Vishwas Lapalkar, Life worker of Vivekananda Kendra  and Vivek Ponkshe, Secretary, Educational wing of Jnana Prabodhini .Both  Vishwasji and Vivekji have  long association with educational and  development  activities in Arunachal Pradesh .

 Lastly, the group visited the RSS headquarter at Nagpur where the group visited the birthplace of Dr. Keshav Hedgewar. The group also visited social projects run by RSS and its sister organizations like Hedgewar Blood Bank, Goshala Prakalp, Vivekananda Hospital run at tribal belt in Maharashtra. By seeing the Goshala Prakalp, the group came to know the number of medicinal uses of Gomutra as well as why our culture believe cow as ‘Gomata’. The group also visited ‘Dikshbhumi ‘where they saw the photo gallery of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. 

Each teacher went to different houses for lunch and to celebrate Diwali Festival at Pune and Nagpur. In all, the group feels the tour educative, entertaining, and experiencing and Country loving Tour. The group feel it proudly Bharat Mera Ghar.
